This policy explains what personal information Uttara Skin Care & Laser Center("USCL", "we", "us") collects through its websites, why we collect it, who sees it and what control you have over it. By using our websites or booking with us, you accept the practices described here.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Data controller: Uttara Skin Care & Laser Center, Union Nahar Square, 19 Sonargaon Janapath, Sector 13, Uttara, Dhaka 1230, Bangladesh.
Websites covered: uttaraskincare.com and uttaraskincarelaser.com, and any subdomain or successor site we operate for the clinic. This policy does not cover third-party sites we link to, such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, WhatsApp and Google Maps; those operate under their own policies.
Clinical records: information you give us in the clinic (consultations, examinations, treatment notes and photographs) is also protected by medical confidentiality. This policy describes how the websites feed into that process; it does not replace the consent forms you sign at the clinic.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run appointments and answer enquiries.

Collected automatically. When you visit our websites, our servers and hosting provider may log your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and the time of your visit. This helps keep the sites secure and working.
What we do not ask for through the websites. We do not ask for national ID or passport numbers, card or mobile-banking details, or detailed medical information through the online forms. Please do not put sensitive health details in the contact message box; we will collect them in person, where they can be recorded confidentially.
3. How and why we use your information
We use your information only for the purposes below, and for no incompatible purpose without telling you first.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Marketing. We will not send promotional messages unless you have agreed to receive them. Appointment-related communications are service messages and are not marketing.
4. Health information and treatment photographs
Health information is the most sensitive data we hold, so we handle it more strictly than anything else.
- Access is limited to the doctors and clinic staff involved in your care, and to administrative staff only where their role requires it.
- Records are created in the clinic, not through the websites, and are kept confidential under medical ethics and applicable law.
- Clinical photographs (for example, before-and-after images of acne, pigmentation, hair or laser treatments) are taken to document your treatment and progress. They stay in your clinical record.
- Public use of images needs separate written consent. We will not publish your photographs or testimonials on our websites, social media, brochures or advertising unless you have given specific written consent for that use. The before-and-after images and patient testimonials shown on our websites appear only with that consent. You may withdraw consent for future use at any time; we will remove the material from our own channels, but cannot recall copies already shared by third parties.
- We do not share your health information with employers, family members or other third parties without your consent, unless the law requires it or it is needed to protect someone from serious harm.
5. Cookies, third parties and sharing
Cookies. Cookies are small files stored on your device. Our websites use only essential cookies needed for the site to load and the forms to work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may stop working.
Service providers and third-party services. We share information only with those who help us run the websites and the clinic, and only as far as their task needs.

Other disclosures. We may disclose information to doctors or specialists involved in your care (with your consent), to professional advisers under confidentiality, and to courts, regulators or law-enforcement bodies where the law requires. If the clinic is ever sold or restructured, records would pass to the successor under the same protections.
Links to other sites.Following a link to another website means that site's policy applies. Please read it.
6. Retention, security and your rights
How long we keep it. Website enquiries and booking requests are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, unless they become part of your clinical record. Clinical records are kept for the period required by applicable Bangladeshi law and medical practice. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operation. When the applicable retention period ends, we delete or anonymise the data.
How we protect it. We use access controls, encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted staff access and secure hosting. No online system is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive medical details by email, contact form or social media. If a breach is likely to harm you, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
International processing. Some of our providers (for example hosting, maps and messaging services) may process data on servers outside Bangladesh. Where they do, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
Your rights. Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete it, where we have no legal reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to a particular use, including marketing;
- withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting earlier lawful use.
To use these rights, contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first and will reply within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to the competent authority in Bangladesh.
Children.Our websites are for adults. Appointments for patients under 18 must be made by a parent or guardian, and we collect a child's information only from them.
Changes to this policy.We will post any update on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will also be flagged on the website.
