Dr. Zakiah Mahfuza Zakariah

Dr. Zakiah Mahfuza Zakariah is among the first and most senior female dermatologists in Bangladesh, with more than 43 years of experience in dermatology and aesthetic solutions. She completed her postgraduate qualification in 1983 from BMU, earning her Diploma in Dermatology and Venereology (DDV), and went on to serve as a Consultant Dermatologist at Dhaka Shishu Hospital for over 10 years.

In 2002 she completed her super-specialisation in Dermatosurgery at St. Thomas' Hospital, London — one of the most reputed institutions in England. After returning, she served as Director & Consultant Dermatologist at Al-Biruni Hospital, Dhaka, and founded her own dermatology centre, Uttara Skin Care and Laser, in Uttara.

In 2015 she received advanced training in Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine in India, strengthening her expertise in evidence-based healthy aging, skin rejuvenation, collagen stimulation, and regenerative therapies. Throughout her career she has attended numerous international training programs, seminars, and scientific conferences in laser treatment, aesthetic dermatology, and anti-aging medicine in Germany, China, Dubai, Japan, and Singapore. Her expertise covers the management of skin, hair, and nail diseases, laser cosmetology and cosmetic dermatosurgery, and the treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and related disorders.
